When life gives you lemons . . .

I'd say it's fairly likely that everyone who reads this blog already knows I'm currently recovering from a fairly rough event, and will be off work for another month. So what does a knitter do under those circumstances?

Well, I finally finished these socks for Jeff


I started these socks the day I came home from the hospital, with "spare" yarn Heather gave me.


And I started a sweater for myself. I think this will be a quite nice interpretation of Tubey!

Disney trip

A little late, but at least it's here.
Just a few highlights of our recent trip to Disney.

This was the sight that first greeted us when we arrived in our hotel room at the Animal Kingdom Lodge

That evening there was a beautiful thunderstorm, so I took advantage of the long exposure option on my camera
More animals, right outside our window.

At Epcot, we had purchased a permanent spot in Disney back 7 years ago on our honeymoon.

Off Kilter was awesome as usual. How in the world does one bend pitch on a bagpipe!?!?!
